Wilson Acevedo

The Jazz Meets Salsa Orchestra is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and DJ, Wilson Acevedo, a Canadian of Colombian heritage. Wilson’s Jazz Meets Salsa Orchestra has two CD albums under its belt, and two tracks from the CDs were reissued on wax by DJ Gury Gury’s Hyperopia Records in Canada and Peace & Rhythm in 2021. The A side, “Gury’s Mambo,” is the theme song for DJ Gury Gury’s legendary radio program, Viejoteca. The record can be purchased here from each label, depending on customer location.
